THE THERAPY WELL

A Safe Space to Heal, Grow and Transform

As a trauma-focused therapist, I use non-pathologizing somatic approaches that help access the body’s deep wisdom to understand and heal painful experiences.

My work is client-centered and eclectic, drawing from EMDR, brain spotting, family systems, CBT, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy so I can meet a wide range of adults navigating the impacts of unsupportive environments, painful relationships, and life-altering events.

I believe we all reach moments when we’re called to grow, and that the ability to heal is part of our human nature—something that awakens in the presence of the right kind of support. Therapy isn’t about fixing you; it’s about uncovering the capabilities you already carry.

Through my training at Pepperdine University and years of guiding others, I’ve witnessed our innate capacity to heal, no matter the past or present. It’s my privilege to offer a compassionate, welcoming space where new clarity, confidence, and hope can take root, grow and flourish.

Therapy Services

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy - Silhouette of a woman

In individual therapy, I support people working through anxiety, phobias, depression, compulsive behaviors, grief and loss, fear, confusion, feeling stuck, relationship challenges, stress, somatic symptoms, PTSD, Complex PTSD, and more.

Couples Therapy

Couples Therapy - A couple walking hand in hand.

My practice blends the principles of PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy) with Emotionally Focused Therapy to help couples build secure, resilient, and deeply connected relationships.

Family Therapy

Family Therapy - Silhouettes of a family.

I help families understand the neuroaffective impact of dysfunctional dynamics—especially patterns of abandonment, self-abandonment, and emotional mis-attunement. These experiences shape the nervous system, influencing stress levels, trust, and how each member learns to protect or disconnect from themselves and others.

Trauma & Stress

Understanding Stress & Trauma - A person standing outdoors at sunset.

As a trauma therapist, utilizing interventions such as EMDR and Brainspotting, I work closely with individuals navigating PTSD caused by events or Complex PTSD and the broad spectrum of traumatic experiences—whether rooted in childhood, accidents, abuse, medical or relational trauma, natural disasters, grief, or combat.

THERAPY APPROACHES

Different Models for Different Needs

The Therapy Well - A person standing on a rocky hill with arms outstretched.

A broad and flexible therapeutic toolbox allows me to meet you exactly where you are and tailor the work to your unique needs.

My approach draws from multiple bodies of knowledge in mental health, human development, and evidence-based psychotherapy, integrating complementary models to support healing on emotional, cognitive, somatic, and relational levels.

Each method offers its own doorway into insight and transformation, and together they create a responsive, holistic framework for your growth.

  • Helps you understand and heal the inner “parts” of yourself—such as protectors, exiles, and managers—by fostering curiosity, compassion, and internal harmony.

  • Supports healing by working directly with the body’s sensations, impulses, and nervous system patterns to release stored tension, trauma, and emotional overwhelm.

  • Uses bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess disturbing memories so they lose their emotional charge and integrate into a coherent, adaptive narrative.

  • Accesses deeper layers of the brain through visual fixation points, allowing unresolved trauma and emotional blockages to surface and release naturally.

  • Gently uncovers the unconscious emotional truths driving unwanted symptoms, allowing meaningful transformation through integration rather than willpower.

  • Focuses on present-moment experience and the therapeutic relationship to increase awareness, authenticity, and emotional flexibility.

  • Cultivates the ability to observe thoughts, feelings, and sensations with presence and openness, creating space for self-regulation and insight.

  • Illuminate how early relational patterns shape the nervous system, emotional responses, and connection styles—while offering pathways toward secure functioning.

  • Explore how relational dynamics, roles, and intergenerational patterns influence current struggles, empowering healthier boundaries and communication.

FAQs

  • Starting therapy for the first time is completely normal, and it’s common to have questions about how the process works. Therapy is a unique relationship—one that’s fully focused on you, your experiences, and what you’re hoping to change or understand.

I have extensive experience working with first-time therapy clients, and we can talk through any questions or uncertainties during our initial phone call or early sessions. You’re always in control of what you share and when, and everything you choose to share is held in strict confidence.

My first priority is to create a relaxed, supportive, and trusting environment. From there, we’ll focus on what brings you in and collaborate on approaches that feel aligned, transparent, and empowering for you.

  • Research consistently shows that the most important factor in effective therapy is the quality of the relationship between the client and therapist. A safe, supportive, and attuned therapeutic relationship creates conditions for healing, especially since much psychological distress develops within relationships across the lifespan.

Effective therapy also draws on what is already within you. Each person has innate strengths, capacities, and resilience, and therapy helps identify and strengthen these qualities to support meaningful change.

For these reasons, I practice as a client-centered therapist, using an integrative approach rather than limiting the work to a single method or model. You can learn more in the Approach section, and I welcome any questions during our initial call or at any point in our work together How long does therapy take?

Therapy progresses at a pace that’s unique to each person, depending on where you are in life and what brings you to seek support. As a result, the length of therapy can vary widely.

We’ll regularly check in together to see how things are going, assess progress toward your goals, and adjust or redefine those goals as needed. Your growing awareness of meaningful change will help guide decisions about the duration of our work.

While I stay focused on your goals and progress, you remain the best judge of when to continue, pause, or conclude therapy.

  • Progress may show up as a sense of calm or relief, feeling more connected, gaining clarity or awareness, renewed energy, or noticing improvements in how you relate to others. It can also appear as subtle or noticeable shifts in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that better support your well-being.

You may find yourself responding differently to challenges, people, or life events, and experiencing a reduction in symptoms or patterns that once caused distress. Ultimately, progress is measured by where you begin and the meaningful changes you notice as you move forward from that starting point.

  • Yes. I accept insurance through therapy platforms such as RULA and Headway, which handle insurance verification, billing, and administrative processes on the back end.

If you prefer to work with me outside of those platforms, I can also provide a superbill at the end of your first month of therapy and then every two months thereafter. A superbill includes your dates of service, payments made, and all required clinical and billing information for you to submit directly to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Reimbursement amounts and eligibility are determined by your insurance provider based on the details of your specific PPO plan.
